What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use starloft.ai, apply through Begin or Invite, create an account, use My Loft, Talk with Mira, Paths, Insight, Studio, messaging, or join sessions and live sessions.

What we collect

• Identity and contact: name, email, password (stored securely as a hash), and membership status
• Begin and Invite: questionnaire answers, submitted photo, and short video recording for application review
• My Loft: messages to the host, session requests, notes you choose to save, and orientation or preference settings
• Mira and creative tools: conversation content and related usage needed to provide the service and apply fair use limits
• Paths and Insight: your answers and assessment outputs shown to you and available to the host for guidance
• Sessions and live sessions: registration, scheduling, timezone, and in-session chat for that session (visible to the host for running and moderating the room)
• Technical data: basic logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time) needed to run, secure, and debug the service

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not use your private Mira conversations or application video as public content.

Why we use it

• To run membership, applications, authentication, and the features you use (contract or steps before a contract)
• To review Begin and Invite applications and decide acceptance, hold, decline, or a short talk (legitimate interests and pre-contract)
• To host sessions, moderate live rooms, and keep the sanctuary safe from abuse (legitimate interests)
• To send operational email (for example application status, session updates) needed for the service
• For optional updates or marketing email only if you agree (consent). You can withdraw consent at any time

How long we keep it

We keep data while your account or application relationship is active and for a limited period after for security, records, and dispute handling, then delete or anonymise where we can. Application media is for review and membership records, not for public display. You may ask for deletion earlier where the law allows, subject to legal retention needs.

Who we share with

Only service providers that help us operate, for example:

• Hosting and database
• Email delivery
• AI processing for Mira and assessments (providers process content to return replies and scores; they are not a public audience)
• Live video infrastructure for sessions (encrypted in transit; group media may be routed through the provider’s servers to deliver the call)

They process data on our instructions. If a provider stores or processes data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards they offer (such as standard contractual clauses).

Who can see what inside Starloft

• You see your own My Loft data, Mira history, Paths, Insight, and session information that belongs to you
• The host (operator) can see applications, membership administration, messages you send to the host, session logistics, and live session chat in rooms you join, in order to run and protect the sanctuary
• Other members do not get your Begin questionnaire, photo, video, or private Mira conversations

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK (and in similar cases), you may ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, object to certain processing, and receive a portable copy where applicable. You may withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde).

Cookies and local storage

We use what is needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and run the site. If we add optional analytics later, we will update this page and offer a clear choice where required.

Children

Starloft is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Please read the current version when you use the service.
